Shortly after 3:30 p.m., a motorcycle carrying two people turned right onto River Road, traveling south, when a silver SUV turned left to enter a parking lot near Cache Valley Bank, St. George Police officer Doug Jacox told St. George News. The motorcycle reportedly crashed into the SUV, and both riders went over the vehicle.

Jacox said they were both wearing helmets and are expected to be OK.

“They had some injuries, but they’re going to check on them at the hospital,” he said.

No other injuries were reported. The SUV’s driver was cited for failing to yield on a left-hand turn.

The St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross were also dispatched to the scene.

This report is based on statements from police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
