Margene loved being a grandmother to her 22 grandchildren: Ben, Laura, Jeff, Ashley, Bryan, Parker, Taylor, Zachary, Jordon, Justin, Page, Corey, Morgan, Josee, Jared, Coleman, Addie, Natasha, Rachel, Hayden, Chloe and Jackson. She made them each a quilt when they graduated from high school. She enjoyed playing Rook, Croquette and other games, baking bread and rolls and going on fun adventures.

Margene served in various organizations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including in the Relief Society, in music callings and as a temple worker.
